I've seen that site, but this time I decided to have its communication and tinker with the BIOS... I suppose it was all straight-forward plenty, I'm but afraid of messing upward my PC is all!

Give thanks you, it did solve 1 of my problems; that is to switch the functionality around. Which, aye, I'm happy it switched finally, only it even so dances effectually the chief event: the FN-Lock refusing to work. I'd have to reboot the computer and access BIOS all once more if I want it switched back around...

Too, I didn't mention this because I figured I could fix information technology another time, but my effulgence keys don't piece of work either. I have to manually suit the brightness from either the Mobility Center or Display Settings... I know the keys piece of work considering F11 and F12 piece of work just fine, aforementioned as Esc despite FN-Lock non working.

There seems to be an underlying problem with brightness adjustment as at that place are many posts about it, also like your self many with keyboard issues. These issues don't appear to be able to be resolved course within the settings then I gauge the solution lies deep within the device, maybe the registry or the bios. You can search the forum for issues relating to effulgence aligning as there are lot of them some of which the replies have answered their issues. Anyway skillful luck, I hope you resolve your bug asap.

Hi, I had aforementioned result for a prolong time period.

It has solved at present.

What I did;

one) I went toDEVICE MANAGER,

2) At "Mice and other Pointing Devices" uninstalled "Lenovo Pointing Device"

3) Restarted reckoner, and all issues gone.

My function keys, spacebar, and all other keys started working as normal.

Original Synaptics commuter was replaced with a Lenovo version past installing Windows10

Well, I approximate it's good enough knowing many others are going through the aforementioned issue, and it actually is equally hard to solve as it seems. Perhaps it's a manufacturing issue...

Thanks for the advice, simply I don't have "Lenovo Pointing Device."

I judge I could try to use it anyway and uninstall "Dell Touchpad," just I'k afraid I need that for my, well, touchpad.

("PS/2 Uniform Mouse" and "Wacom Mouse" are there every bit well.)

I searched up what would happen if I uninstall information technology, and it's pretty cryptic to either cypher will happen except no longer being able to turn off the touchpad if a mouse is continued, or not beingness able to use the touchpad at all...

I don't accept a mouse and like my touchpad, then I don't like those odds...

I also saw there was a way to disable touchpad from the BIOS and only letting connected devices function, but again, I don't have a mouse. I could use my tablet pen as a mouse which I do often, but half the time I prefer the quick use of the touchpad.

Are you proverb a "Synaptics Commuter" will or can be installed in identify of the touchpad driver?
